About Buck

by Buck on November 12, 2009

Writing Buck Cooks requires more than writing about food. It seems that when writing a Blog about food the readers want to see you and know what you are about. Note that About Buck is now on the homepage. Getting my picture on the site is advice that Kevin Weeks gave me when I started writing and Kevin should know. He is a pro both cooking and writing food Blogs. It took me a while to follow his advice since I needed a photo and someone with a camera lens that made me look better than reality to take the photo.

It’s good to have friends and Catherine our friend who is a pro in her field took the photos If you check out her site you will see that Buck Cooks gave her a real challenge, since this was much different from her usual efforts

We took the photos in Lucky’s market in Boulder Colorado. Another friend, Abdul, is the produce manager in this quality operation. Abdul is always ready with advice concerning anything you want to know about produce. He is shown in the shot telling me about the pineapples that just arrived in Lucky’s. One look at his colorful displays of produce and you know that Lucky’s Market has ownership that takes produce seriously and have Abdul to implement their serious attention to detail.

The third part of the Buck Cooks photo puzzle was provided by my grandson Kevin who knows almost everything about Blogs. What he doesn’t know he is probably researching as you read this. He doesn’t do a food Blog but the hundreds of thousands of folks that read his various Blogs all eat. http://changetheworld.me/ I’m trying to figure out how to interest them in checking out Buck Cooks. Despite his busy schedule he finds time to work on grandpop’s site and restrains himself from commenting(too often) on my slow learning curve.

I have had advice from two Kevin’s concerning Buck Cooks. How about that?! I know they have helped me move onto the right track.. This kind of generous help has the site growing rapidly. Since you are on the site check out some posts and give me your thoughts as to your interests.

I’ve got to get back into the kitchen now and start to work on the next Post.
